This blog has more or less served its purpose and now goes into hibernation. It was only intended as a stop gap anyway. Who knows when it will wake up again…
Meantime feel free to visit TweakFreak’s support pages and the FlexFax discussion forum on all things Flex3.

Yesterday (April 1, but no kidding!) I salvaged some threads from the old Line6 Flex3 support forum via Google’s cache. I put them on the FlexPax pages forum. For those interested.

Hey, Flex users. Visit the new Flextone forum at Google groups. Away from the shallow pool of wisdom that is Line6. Away from the abysmal level of support and condescending attitudes.

Line6 deleted one of my messages, as I mentioned before. Well, they did, but Google had already picked it up. Read it here. It complains about the fact that Line6 completely ignores Line6Edit v3 issues in their FAQ.
Of course it is easier to delete messages than to fix software problems.

Dear Flextone friends:
On March 13, I posted a critical message to the new Line6 forum. I listed the problems I experienced with the new forum. In conclusion I stated that Line6 did another lousy job.
The Line6 staff, within hours, removed the message without any explanation or comment. A response by me to another message was removed as well. So much for freedom of speech. I believe this was unacceptable.
Line6 has a history of years of not wanting to deal with valid customer concerns and problems. The total lack of adequate response to serious issues with Flextone 3 amps and Line6Edit speaks volumes. Unfortunately a new forum, “moderated by a team of highly trained Line 6 tech support representatives”, with no special place for Flex3 amps, has not changed that lousy attitude, nor does it raise any hopes for Flex3 users. Instead it confirms the perception that the Flex3 users are irrelevant to Line6, and the Flex3 amp is ready to be phased out. It should be noted that Line6 has pretty much dropped support for anything Flex 3 since 2007, but claims it is still a going product.
Line6 clearly does not tolerate criticism, in fact suppresses it, and totally fails to recognize that customers want to be treated fairly and decently. Rather, they let us know that we will get used to it. — Thank you Line6! — For that reason links from and to the Line6 site will no longer be served by TweakFreak’s pages. The site itself, however, will continue to be available and provide useful background information as usual. You just can’t click on a Line6 forum link anymore to get to TF’s Flex3 pages.
Feel free to comment. Here your words will not be suppressed (barring obvious bad manners and insults). And check out the polls to the right.
